University Life 101
University Life 101 (ULife) is a co-curricular program that helps first-year U of S students get the most out of their university experience. It is designed to provide students with the information and resources that are crucial to success on campus – both academically and socially. ULife kicks off at Orientation, and continues throughout Term 1 with weekly one-hour classes. Classes are taught by an upper-year student called a “coach”. Coaches are instructors, mentors, and friends to the first year students in their classes.
The University Life 101 program covers topics such as how to get involved at the U of S, how to write a university–level paper, how to study effectively for exams, how to manage time and stress, and much more. ULife students also have the opportunity to participate in library tours, career planning, volunteer activities, social events, and subject specific study sessions.
