College of Medicine
The College of Medicine was fully accredited in 1957 by the Association of Canadian Medical Colleges, the Association of American Medical Colleges and the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association. Connected with the medical building is the Royal University Hospital of approximately 420 beds with departments directed by the professional heads of the corresponding university departments. Clinical teaching is carried out also in St. Paul's Hospital and City Hospital in Saskatoon, and at the Regina General Hospital, and Pasqua Hospital.
Candidates for the degree of Doctor of Medicine may apply for admission to the college after a minimum of two years following Grade 12 in the pre-medicine program in the College of Arts & Science. See "Admission Requirements" for Admission procedures.
Programs in Physical Therapy are provided in the College of Medicine. Consult the School of Physical Therapy section of the Calendar for details. No degree program in Occupational Therapy is offered at present at this university, but those contemplating such professional training may take Pre-Occupational Therapy courses in the College of Arts & Science.
