Health Sciences Library
The Health Sciences Library is the primary resource centre for the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Kinesiology, Pharmacy & Nutrition, and the School of Physical Therapy. It is the second largest branch library of six locations that form the University of Saskatchewan Library system. The Health Sciences Library’s collection consists of over 40,000 books, 500 print journal subscriptions and over 3,000 electronic health care journals and many electronic books and information resources.
The Health Sciences Library has 20 workstations and three printers, one of which is a laser colour printer. Sixteen of the 20 stations are Learning Commons machines which provide access to many different programs including the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Additionally, there are four photocopiers within the library, maintained by the USSU, for student use. The library has two special collections. The Baltzan Medical Canadian Collection is held within the library and the Brodie History of Medicine Collection is in storage and available for paging.
